Day 88 - Cold Water

It took William a while to put his feet in the water. It was so cold. This was also one of my last pictures I took before my camera fell in the water and died. So sad. I feel so lost without it.....Not sure what to do or what to get....

  1. ¡Que lastima!
So sorry to hear that. I bet you do feel lost without it, I was just thinking the other day that you always seem to have your camera with you even at the oil change shop.
You better go to the camera store today and pick something out :)

    1. Thank you, Mat. It is true I had that camera with me all the time. I called it "my best friend" :) ...I just wished it wasn't so close to Easter since I was planning on taking some pictures of the kids tomorrow at church....I did want to get something today, but I was at work all day...There is a photographer in town who at some point wanted to get rid of some camera bodies, I am going to contact him to see if I can buy or borrow something....

  2. Oh no!!! I don't know what I would do without mine. It's another extremity. One of my brothers hides it when I leave the room and I immediately know it's missing. He thinks it's so weird. ha! Go get a new one! I shoot with a Canon Rebel T3i and love it. Is your 50mm okay or do you need a new lens too? :( - Also, you could rent some cameras and/or lenses to see what you want to get next.

    1. Thank you, Erin. Was your brother trying to be funny and drive you crazy? :)

My camera is the Rebel T3...The lens I was using is the newest one I got. The 18-200mm and I think it will be OK...I dried it up as much as I could. I actually wish it was the 50mm that got wet because it's not as expensive...

I knew I was going to buy a new camera at some point, but I am still learning and I wanted to wait...I could get the same one, but since I only need the body I might get a newer model, but I am really not sure....I agree with you renting a camera or lens is a great idea....

  3. Dang Olga Im sorry to hear that. I dont mean to sound like a mother hen or anything BUT. When I got my first big girl camera and lens. I took the advice from a photographer friend and I picked up the phone and called my insurance agent. Its really very inexpensive to include them on your home owners or renters policy. I have everything insured up to and including my speedlight and Gary Fong diffuser. I believe the total cost per yr is $75. I too take my camera and lenses with me everywhere. I also dropped a camera in the water once. Thank God it was just my Point and shoot.
